Children's Ministry

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to partner with parents in raising devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

WHO WE ARE

We are passionate about one thing: engaging children with Jesus Christ.
Every story in the Bible testifies about Jesus. We believe He is the hero of every story in scripture: the Prince who came to slay the dragon and rescue His bride. Children are captivated by stories, especially those with compelling heroes. So,  we read to them from the Bible, helping them see who Jesus is, and allowing their hearts to be captivated by His never-stopping, never-giving-up, unbreaking, always-and-forever love.
Join us, every Sunday morning and Wednesday evening*, as we explore the greatest story ever told. *One summer service: Sunday-9:30AM, Wednesday evenings-no meetings until fall.
Sunday School—Sunday at 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Sunday School meets for all ages, nursery through 18 years old, during the academic year (September through May).
WiNK (Wednesday Night Kids)—Wednesday at 6:15 PM to 7:45 PM
Our midweek children's program meets for ages 3 through 11 years old, during the academic year (September through May).

WANT TO SERVE?

Mission: Through various activities which engage kids with the Bible, we desire to create an environment that allows us to partner with parents in raising devoted followers of Jesus.
Ministry Team Leader: Tyler Hanson
In order to follow Bethel's policy which strives to keep the safety of the children in our care as top priority, we require all volunteers to fill out this application. After you have submitted this application, we will send a link to your email to run a background check at no cost to you.
Anyone wishing to serve within the Children's ministries at Bethel must pass a background check. If you have submitted your application and haven't received the link to complete the background check, email Nikki in the office for the link at Bethel@Brookings.net

This is the Children's Ministry Volunteer Handbook. Please take a look through it and have any questions ready for when you meet with Pastor Tyler. It covers all of the details that serving with kids might entail. It covers information for all of the children's programs including Sunday activities and Wednesday activities.

Here are more detailed descriptions of each of the volunteer positions for each Children's Ministry activity. Please print and fill out a form for each of the areas in which you are interested in serving and Pastor Tyler will go over these with you as well!
